Hope springs eternal

by Miss Lonely Teacher   May 13, 2011

So manmy times I've tried
with so many tears I've cried
as so many people lied
and said it would get better.

they're telling me to hope;
all I can do is cope
and refuse to tie the rope
around my neck much tighter.

so I'll take the pills
and fall down that hill
(my body still)
and wish for it to finally end.

after all,
hope springs eternal.
