When it comes

by Thomas Pender   May 30, 2011

Take a Spring day...when it comes
where flowers bloom to face the Sun
and feel it
Take a Summer's Sun...when it comes
with a high sky of viscous blue
and feel it
Take an Autumn's grain...when it comes
a bounty from the harvest ground
and feel it
Take a Winter's snow...when it comes
cold purity laid upon the land
and feel it

Take a morning glory...when it comes
where Moon and Star gleam in dawning light
and feel it
Take a midday sunlit view...when it comes
hazy on to horizon's edge
and feel it
Take an evening gloom...when it comes
where crimson clouds hang high
and feel it
Take a midnight Moon...when it comes
to make a magic lantern light
and feel it

Take a newborn babe...when it comes
with a pure face of innocence
and feel it
Take a child's smile...when it comes
born a simple pleasures
and feel it
Take an adults grace...when it comes
good councils given free
and feel it
Take an elder's maturity..when it comes
life's wisdoms handed on
and feel it

Take all that nature shows...when it comes
Think of creations glories
and never.....
never....
forget
