A Small Soul goes Home

by Thomas Pender   May 30, 2011

Creation's whims dance
and fall as they may
This delicate Flower
now pale
Where abundant life
sprang from a well of love
shadowed now
by a death stalking
The tears wept
by a mother's eyes
As a Father looks away
in the pain of loss
Murmered goodbyes
as a man in black prays
Candles gleam
as the moment gathers
and with a faint and final breath
a small soul goes home
