Journeys

by Thomas Pender   May 30, 2011

I will slide down high thermals
to where the deep sky caress's the blue
Where the Eagles soar in a high flight of majesty
Sparking a delight in you

I will sail a dark deep ocean
to where the horizon stands in the light
Where I can count the flukes of the last breaching whales
Invoking a clearing of sight

I will climb a high clear mountain
to where the boulders crack in the snow
Where the crystals flash in the clear morning air
Igniting a spirit to glow

I will soar through great bright starfields
to where my eyes attune to the gleam
Where creations's light cascades from the darkness
Spreading the seeds of a dream

I will walk a deep clean forest
to where the treetops turn to the Sun
Where bright leaves wave and dance in the breezes
Breathing life for everyone

I will ride a sparkled river
To where the waters join with the sea
Where the rocks and dunes march down the tide line
Revealing the mother to me
