Maybe it was the way you said "hi"
Or the look you gave me before goodbye
Might be how your cheeks blushed
While you spoke your techno babble rushed
Could be how you ordered a girly drink
Unafraid of being unmanly or so I think
It probably was when your glasses fell down
You timidly called yourself a klutz and a clown
Or the way you chuckled after telling me
That you're a geek and it was okay to leave

I think it was how you actually looked surprised
when I confessed im a nerd in disguise
Maybe it was the unbelieving look you gave
That for once you chose a girl that wanted to stay
Perhaps it was the way the awkward rolled off you
And stopped struggling in hiding the real truth
It being that you're intelligent and a little odd
It being that you're a guy actually interested in love
No, it was the way you cautiously asked me on a date
And the face you expressed hoping it was fate

I don't know exactly what made me fall in love
I don't know what you said that got it done
What gesture or movement you made,
What feel or touch you gave,
