She Will Be Okay

by Molly   Jun 21, 2011

At night,
That's when it all
Comes tumbling down,
And all she can hear is
The sound of
Her break down.
It's quiet as
She lays in bed,
While all these
Thoughts race
Through her head.
She stares out her window
At the night sky,
Wishing her life
Wasn't passing her by.
Morning comes,
She doesn't know why,
But all of a sudden
She's feeling fine.
Her day drags on
As she waits for a friend,
To make an effort
To make amends.
Nothing happens
And she starts to see,
That no one cares
And her heart
Begins to bleed.
She gives up.
She's tired of waiting
For that one thing,
To prove they're changing.
She's all alone again
As night rolls around,
With no calls or texts
And it's the sound
Of her break down.
She drowns herself in music
As dusk turns to dawn,
And she doesn't really
Know exactly
Where she belongs.
Her family is useless,
For all they say
"It's just a phase
It'll go away."
They don't know
The pain she feels
Cuz deep inside
She knows it's real.
It hurts so much
She wants it gone
Cuz the sadness she feels,
Doesn't belong.
She used to be happy,
Until she met him
Who took her heart
And skinned it thin.
Later on he felt bad
Then he took her heart
And stitched it back.
She was happy
He was too
Until he decided that
They were through.
There goes her heart
Falling to the floor
Where it will shatter
Again once more.
She doesn't know why
But he still owns her heart
And she hates to admit it
So she keeps it in the dark.
She goes to sleep
Dreaming of a day
When someone will care
And she will be okay.
