Revived

by Nobody   Jun 26, 2011

Shielded yourself from the world
all it ever gave you was a handful of hurt

Built towers so high you can't see
the stars light up the evening sky

But I know beneath that armor of ice
there lies a heart ready to begin beating

Don't say you've given up
Don't throw the towel in so soon

I can see the fire in your eyes
begging for a chance to breathe

Let me inch a little closer
Don't let a murky past haunt you

Together we can tear this wall down
we can run through this world unprotected

You can't fool me, I know you're waiting
for someone to take your hand and guide you back

So take my palm.....I'll revive you.
