I was like an open book
Until the writer came and wrote me

I was like a virgin
Until the painter came and drew me

I was like a candle
Until the darkness came
and surrounded me

I was like an ivory tower
Until the the ship came
and broke me

I was what i am
Until you came
and stole me

"I was like an open book
Until the writer came and wrote me"

Did you mean to say "empty notebook"

    "I was like a virgin
Until the painter came and drew me"

Love the beauty in the analogy

    "I was like a candle
    Until the darkness came
    and surrounded me"

    Touching and beautifully expressed

I was like an ivory tower
    Until the the ship came
    and broke me

Amazing choice for "ivory tower" to show resilience/toughness

    I was what i am
    Until you came
    and stole me

Love the flow of the whole poem leading to this lovely ending. Great write my friend. 5/5
