Shining Star

You were the star in my sky that shined bright
But I sit here and cry over you tonight
As I look up at the midnight sky,
I can no longer see the star that shined in your eye
I wonder where that beautiful star went
The one I thought was heaven sent
It breaks my heart to know I once had that star
And now I cant even see it from afar
But the star that once shone bright and new,
Has grown dull just like my love for you.
