Fighting to stay alive

by fakingeverything   Jul 22, 2011

Fight after fight she's losing herself.

Trying to scream but it doesn't help.

Nobody knows what she goes through at night,

Just to stay alive, just to win the fight.

Kick after kick, all she sees is blood.

Punch after punch, it's over, she's done.

She can't even breathe her body aches so bad,

From all the abuse from her mom and her dad.

She's so scared to go home, for what she might endure.

Scared of seeing his face when she opens the door.

The people around her don't say a word.

They just stare at a girl who always gets hurt.

A girl who always has to put up a fight.

Just to keep breathing, just to stay alive.
