Drummer Boy

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 3, 2011

I was going to the house of my brother's
When it was late in the summer
I was there to listen to his band
When I laid eyes on his drummer

His dark brown hair in front of his eyes
His dark brown eyes in disguise
His smile was bright to my surprise
Stunned by him, I had to improvise

He stuttered talking to me; probably shy
Something about him I couldn't deny
Besides the fact that he's my kind of guy
His appearance got me feeling high

He never made me feel contradicted
And as I predicted, I was insanely addicted
My heart was no longer restricted
My wall was down; he had my heart convicted
