Loveless

by who i am is me   Aug 5, 2011

She serves no purpose...
Only stirs uncomfortable nuisances
and wills my pleasant - unpleasant desires
to a degree that commands upright deliberation
She touches me as though she knows my resistance is wavering
half- hearted attempts to remain or to become virtuous are futile
In only a moment, all my defences leak; as if God himself unlocked my deepest place
,
just to allow her breach
entangled in breathless infatuation...
Searching in sin
only to find your hopes for us are sterile
Nothing ever becomes of seeds that are grounded in the desert
sand
my heart is hollow when you approach
then when you go,
I find myself overwhelmed with guilt,
and full of empty hope for strength when you will return
