Echoes of the Past

by Lyssi Lori   Aug 13, 2011

Tonight could be a fairytale, tonight, tonight,
Everything feels alright, just right, just right.
But the room feels so empty without you near, here,
Maybe I drank too much, nothing looks too clear.
This place is empty without you, without you,
Tried to call, but I can't get through, get through.
Time ticks, bells ring, people flee, don't you see?
The clock struck short, now it's just me.
A fairytale cut short, a promise broken,
Actions mean more than what can be spoken.
An eye for an eye that may leave the world blind,
But a heart for a heart is a seldom thing to find.
Could of, would of, should of been that night,
But what seemed so clear was not in sight.
