Above the Sunsets

by Brittany C   Aug 29, 2011

Every evening
Birds are singing
their final song.
As they nestle in.

A breeze caresses
My smooth cheek
as I lay watching the sky.

Admiring the sunset
That has used the sky
As it's blank canvas.

Hues of pink and orange
Spreading then slowly fading.

But above the sunset
stars show off their luster.

Showing their beauty
In millions of twinkling smiles.
