Finally got it right...

I still wonder how you are doing
I still pick up my phone and see your name
I still think about you throughout my day
Wondering if you ever do the same

As I sit here and think back
I wonder what might have been
What could I have done differently
Our hearts, I could have mend

Whoa, lets get the facts straight
My life is better off without you
I can finally breathe again
My eyes, I can actually see through

They are no longer filled with tears
My heart is no longer cut in half
Why in the world was I with you
Someone please do the math

So thank you for nothing
You were never a part of me
Thank you for helping realize
That without you, I'm finally happy!

    Aww wow Matt I love it!! This poem really touched me... I loved the first stanza, how you start by saying you still think about this person and wonder about her, but how you make a self-realization throughout the poem and become stronger... Loved the ending stanza, I think it was really strong and completed the idea of the poem. Great job!! =)

    This made me think about my ex & how i thought i could never live without him,but then i realized i was always better offwith out him :).

    So thank you for nothing

    That without you, I'm finally happy!

    Love this stanza...finally realizing she never deserved you & that you actually are happier without her in your life.

    Nothing about this poem i would change. The love you had for her shown through, but then also all the pain she caused you was very vivid. Amazing Job(:
