Now every Mother's Day

by Courtney   Sep 9, 2011

Her friends told her
Not to go
But still she insisted
She must go alone

She puts on a black dress
And headed out the door
Hopped in the car
And told the driver to go

On the way there
She started to cry
And her mascara
Was running down her eyes

She grabbed a tissue
And cleaned up her face
As the car approached
To her mum's final place

She waved goodbye
And the car took off,
While she opened the door
She heard church bells ring

She knew she was too late
To give her final farewell
To the mother she once had
And how she loved her so very well

Now every Mother's Day
She puts on that black dress
And heads down towards
That final place
