Hazel Eyes

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Sep 13, 2011

You talk, I gaze
Stare at a golden sunset too long
You would get in a daze
You're saying bye, heartbreak words
It's not worth it to crash and burn
Cause behind those hazel eyes
Reflecting from the sunlight
A rush of sadness overcomes you
You're trying not to cry

But I know, yeah, I see it
You may not want to believe it
But just because you're letting me go
Doesn't mean I would never know
That you're a softie hidden inside
Letting out what you feel still makes you a guy
Cause behind those hazel eyes
Are the real tears you're gonna cry

You can hold them back
For hundreds of thousands of years
But when it comes to the time
I know there will be tears
You'll want me back sooner or later
So why should I bother to disappear ?
Close your eyes now and beg me to stay...

I'm still here.
