Damsel

by Dr sarat sonowal   Sep 19, 2011

The sun is shining
Kiss of air
With echoes of the bell
Children playing hide and seek
In the garden maze
The melancholic voice of a damsel
She sits on the fountain steps
She Watches the birds flying high
Then she smiles again

The sweet fragrance
The winter rose
She plucks from the garden dream
And then she sings the solitary song
She brings the life
To the souls that had faded
With the time that passed

Dark and mysteriously captivating words. Title makes you wonder if it could have been a love poem, but the thoughts turned it over?
