Lonely, I wander

by Aaron   Sep 21, 2011

Lonely, I wander,
a cloud floating over a valley
going where the wind blows me,
over hills and plains
above rivers and lakes,
towards the mountains;
senses of direction long gone,
I float alone.

Lonely, I wander,
comet-like, traveling in space
and as I near an object
fortunately-
gravity pulls me away
lonely, I wander;
comet-like
forever on a constant path.

Lonely, I wander;
a, lone, wolf searching for food-
on a cold, frosty winter's day,
no one is needed, no one is wanted;
isolation is a prerogative, mine,
lonely, I wander.
