DEFINITIVE MOMENTS

by patrick   Oct 4, 2011

Definitive moments, we all have them
Kin to that thing called an original thought
The spark of inspiration
That changes the course of your life

It has to be the real deal and it has to have spontaneity
You canny sit you down and create that moment off the top of your head
It's a culmination of imbedded reactions
Peaking at a moment in time, that will hardly be the purposes of that particular days plan

Profits call it the voice of God
Dr Phil suggests we investigate our autobiography
By making a chronological table of our lives year by year
We can identify past definitive moments [neat hey?]

Ideas continually pop into my head
My journals are living proof
It is a case of quantity and not the quality of thought that I seek
I am in a desperate search for definitive source material in my l ife right now

Like a detective on a murder case
I follow all leads down the blind allies and back again
From my pillow to this page I scrabble, with little dignity
Hope brimming over this particular cup only to feel dashed

Another rehash, void of substance
Oh dear!
From the canvas I lift me up taking solace a shared load is always lighter
Thanks for reading with me my little song of woe
