A Lonely Eclipse

by Reed   Oct 5, 2011

A lonely moon, the only one of its kind,
Waited peaceful in the cold, curious it was in mind.
It grew in the shadows of nearby stars,
But to endure so much pain, so many scars.

Secluded it was, revealing very little light,
Revealing nothing as it dwelled on Hellish might.
Forgetting the memories that it would soon fear,
It fell cold in a pool of shadowed tear.

Crying in the darkness, an endless suffering,
That is until the sun shined it a new beginning.
But to dwell on such memories that brought forth inner doom,
Coldness, silence, hatred, together they formed a chaotic moon.

Slowly as the sun & moon continues to spin,
Another flashback of the past would soon begin.
Knowing how the stars could never touch,
It knew its time together wouldn't be of much.

The moon watched as the sun disappeared out of sight,
But it knew it'd return another day as it waited in the night.
Of the all the pains and joys that it shared together,
The moon continued to shine alone wandering forever.
