Consumed by Shadow

I follow you, watching every mistake from behind,
Remaining silent as the world leaves you blind.
The darkness you chose, your mind appreciates,
But your value in life, slowly depreciates.

I hear your cries, and even believe your lies,
As others walk away, breaking the ties.
Destroying you on the inside, leaving only me,
But even as we talk, you no longer agree.

Wielding a knife, yet I'm someone you can't even touch.
But I'm not worried about it, as this wont hurt much.
For I will be the one to drag the blade across your throat.
Slowly watching as the walls get a fresh paint of coat.

Funny how our twisted minds blends well in agony,
But even I cannot escape, quite the irony.
Both alone, angry, sad, feelings suppressed,
The more it builds up, the more depressed.

Rejecting the angels, you let the demons eat your soul,
Falling into darkness, it slowly consumes you whole.
I, your shadow became the winner in this losing game,
For it is me they see, unknown you became.
