Her Deceptive Heart

by Reed   Sep 3, 2012

She was the devil who reigned supreme,
All cruel, no mercy, and it wasn't a dream,
Thinking I knew her well, she had me quite fooled,
Well done I'll say, feelings overruled.

Foreshadowing words of bliss, and bound by her perception,
she wanted to play a game, the game of deception.
So with every passing gaze, my heart raced faster,
I was her prisoner, she played master.

Her deceit had no limits, leaving me to dwell,
Hanging by a thread, she showed me a world of Hell.
Watching as I struggled, moments filled with despair,
She kept her little secrets, Timid, I was lost there.

Yet something wasn't clear as if I felt the same vibe,
Lust, passion, desire, feelings I couldn't describe.
Playing along with smiles, that which I kept sheathing,
It became second nature, a burden to breathing.

Now confused by my own thoughts, and things turning dire,
I watched her disappear with only her beauty to admire.
Realizing too late, my mind wanders into the dark,
For she won the game with her deceptive Heart.
