Displacement

by Chellee   Oct 11, 2011

She woke up in the morning feeling displaced
in her world of happiness
which was soon to be erased
But she just thought maybe somethings were misplaced
like the love and laughter
on everyone's face
Silly little girl, with too much time
sits down and looks
through all the grime
trying to find that thing misplaced
and all the while she's being replaced
and she looks back onto her little world
she was so happy
such a smiley little girl
and she always thought this would be her life
she never had to deal
with such painful strife
but now she wakes up in the morning in a blur
just as puzzled as before
just as disturbed
And she finally realizes her old world is lost
by not fault of her own
but at another's cost
yet should couldn't get couldn't the one who itd been
he was just like other men
one track mind, and stupid rage
yet he stayed so long in her fairy tale's page
And now that she feels so utterly alone
more so then before
more then she could ever know
she looks to those who could bring her home
but so disappointed, and still so alone
and finally she concludes her world will come anew
she'd make it so, so it had to be true
though it'd take time, and pain like before
she doesn't feel like sitting on one side of a door
so world open wide
here she comes...
but not after a nice jacket
and maybe a warm hug.
