Girl in the Black Hoodie

by kiara   Oct 13, 2011

She walked down the hall, starring at the floor
Her black hoodie covered her inner core
No one cared for as he entered the door
Her life was a struggle, a routinely chore

She hid from the world, she was a disgrace
She felt entrapped by life's slow pace
And chained by a despair that wouldn't erase
She wished to be freed from life's embrace

She was the nobody at school, a living ghost
The one everyone loved to ignore the most
A complete freak she was diagnosed,
With this persona, nothing left to boast

Nobody knew what the future displayed
Of how she hid the cuts from her blade
She enjoyed the bleeding as her life began to fade
It was the only solace that brought her aid

Day by day kept creeping by
The clock kept ticking as her life went awry
In her black hoodie she hid and lied
Until the last day and then she died

She never showed anyone her pain
Of how her soul had been completely slain
And now in death a peace she obtained
The girl in the black hoodie in my memory remains
