Falling

by White Orchid   Nov 2, 2011

Why do they call it falling
If I am floating in the air
Pulled back by your gravity
And the power of your stare

Up in the clouds I try not to go
Something brings me back to you
In your arms is where I land
Doesn't matter what I do

That floating feeling in me remains
The sound of your voice carries me home
Where I long to see your face
In your safe haven is where I belong

Why do they call it falling
Now I have come to realize
The floating feeling is short lived
But under your stronghold I will forever reside.

Woooww!! I love this poem! It was so sweet and enchanting... the first stanza was beautiful and really captivated me! I loved the whole idea about it - I love that you described love as floating, rather than floating. I loved your choice of words. Great job!
