I have trust issues
though it seems I don't

though it still beats
and wants you

I am scared
but I give in

I am cautious
though it seems
time has moved faster

I like you
but I can't let myself
get too far ahead
I pull myself from the clouds

The pain was too much
so I don't want to give in

I'm on the edge
please don't let me
fall off the cliff

I don't want to dream
because the dream
needs to be real

Perhaps it's too late
and without realizing
