A street of blood and a garden of severed heads

by Marcus blake   Nov 25, 2011

There was madness outside my window I saw a church burning
There where bodies in piles a mother cried I saw a child's somber eyes
Even the echoing police sirens couldn't subdue the screams of those dying in front of me
Helpless I felt and nothing is what I did
I pushed the front door open
A wounded man lost his eye and begged me to save him
Was I to put him out of his misery?
I was accustom to violence but not this
This is what happens when desires overcome logic...
The girl from across the street I see her head severed from her body as she lays there on the ground
I close her eyes with my hands gently
I turned around to more dead bodies and bullets flying
I looked into the view of it all and I saw madness
