A Woman

by MARIA   Dec 1, 2011

The moment I felt you inside my womb
I could not believe it
Such a miracle
Knowing you were there inside of me
You kicked and poked through my growing belly
You came so early
But still smiled at me so wonderfully
I felt your hands and your feet
I kissed your chubby checks
Somehow you left me it broke my heart
I never thought it happened
I have longed to be with you
Dark nights not even a bit of glow
Wondering why
I hid in my room and cry
This heart of mine is shattered
Everyone disappeared
Why would they hide from me?
At night I fear and I did not want to remember
The pain was too much to bear
Anyone, someone, out there
No one seemed to hear
Then I heard a tiny voice whispered in my ear
"There is nothing to fear for I am here."
