I need a sleeping pill

by Leanne   Dec 11, 2011

I need a sleeping pill.

Since the slumber which my body creates does nothing but feed my longing for you....

I need a sleeping pill.

One powerful enough so that I may sleep one night and pretend that being away from you does not damage me to my core.

I need a sleeping pill.

For they have not yet made a remedy which can weaken my soul's desire for you, like an alcoholic I long for your sweet poisons to empty into me in hopes to quench my yearning but since you refuse....

I need a sleeping pill

And if I'm lucky when I awake (if I awake) this madness they call love will be gone from me like a dream I cannot quite recall for since that day when the heavens opened and your blissful voice like a choir of angels seeped sweet blasphemy into my eardrums taunting me with the idea of an eternity in your arms, forcing me to look upon your face and glimpse at the man I have forever been destined to love behind the eyes of the boy that lusts for me my eyelids have not shut.

I need a sleeping pill.
