Crystal Rain

by Leanne   Apr 6, 2012

Some girls like sitting on the porch and watching the sun set,

I like walking in the rain and watching lightning break, the sky, up into millions of pieces

and baring witness as the shards fall to the ground like crystal rain.

And as they touch me they shred the skin from my bones, the blood from my heart and the expectations of idealist greatness that has been dressed upon me.

Then perhaps, when my brain is dead and the cloak I call a smile has gone and all that is left is the skeleton that holds me together,

perhaps then you will see

that I

am falling

apart

"lightening break....the sky, up into millions
    of pieces"
    lightening--lightning
And I suggest you remove the periods.

Other than that, this piece is well-penned. Really amazing imagery 5/5 Keep writing :)
