I'll Make You All Proud

by Jess   Dec 12, 2011

All my life, I've been sugar coated
protected by momma bear.

Never had to fend for myself,
always had someone to rely on.

The day is coming soon,
I'm so scared, to leave this cocoon.

I wish I could stay,
I could just live life the easy way.

No, I'm not a quitter.
I'll make you all proud.

I'm the kind of girl,
who doesn't need safe and sound.

I'll spread my wings
and someday I will fly.

It might take a while,
but I promise I'll get by.

Momma, don't be afraid,
your little girl is just growing up today.

    Great Jessi.
The idea of being released from underneath the wings of parents is well portrayed in here.
