A Face in the Crowd

The writhing crowd of people,
The shouting screaming fans,
The plain Jane in the corner,
Violently waving her hand.

"Notice me! Notice me!" She yells
Loud, at the top of her voice,
She can't make it through the crowd to you,
So she has no choice...

But to just sit discouraged,
And resigned to her fate,
If she can't make the first move,
She'll just have to wait.

A face in a crowd of people,
No different from any other,
Sad, but hopeful, feeling pressured,
Her heart beats for another
