Broken Through (Collab. with Renegade Angel)

by Kips2.0   Dec 20, 2011

A tale of broken love.

HER:
Our hearts fell together, we thought
they were synchronized, entwined;
I loved you without any breath of doubt.
You shined my eyes.

HIM:
Your smile brightened my day;
I never knew I shined your eyes,
but I knew you loved me,
because I could read it even in your eyes.

HER:
Deceived by shadows of temptation and excess,
it became us.
I still thought the light was shining in you,
but my heart beat and pumped faster, telling me to cease this course.

HIM:
I held unto you as things fell apart,
'tis weakness for me to let go so soon,
'tis wisdom for me to remain strong,
without you, my sun, there is no illumination for me, the moon.

HER:
I thought I knew better
so you shined your light and I went through,
but I broke down and we fell apart,
then I realized that we were never meant to be.

HIM:
At first my heart was broken when you let go;
'tis a virtue of obedience to heed a simple call,
but now I know that letting go of you,
whom I love so dearly, was the best decision after all.
