To my aunt

by hehasmyheart   Dec 22, 2011

There are so many words, I'd love to say to an Aunt, a sister, a best friend, a mother, and a grandmother so dear,
For over 40 years you've given so much joy and happiness and wiped away every tear.
You never backed down, you've put your heart and soul into every holiday cheer.
Ernest would be so proud of you, if he was by our side today
He's in our hearts, smiling down upon us in every way.

You are such a blessing who has a heart full of pure gold.
You never let anything step in your way, and each year has stories untold.
You and Ernest put together a wonderful family get together,
And now as the years go by, this family bond is here forever.

Christmas has been the best time of the year making candy wrapping presents so much more,
You've put a smile on our faces, been there for a shoulder to cry on, family is what we all adore.
As we count our blessings, we cant help but think of you.
You've been dear to us in our childhood years, and all our life through.
Day by day we count our reasons, why we love you more and more
Your efforts made throughout the years brought blessings by the score.

A very special honor, is having you in our life,
we all know Ernest is in our hearts, for he so dearly loved his wife.
He loved his children, even when they had grown,
Christmas is the best time, Ernest is telling you "my dear you're never alone.

A bond we share has given us strength guidance, you're someone we're proud of
A bond that never breaks, for it is filled with a lot of love.
You're always near in our hearts, you'll always be for time cannot erase.
All these tender memories we share, has held a cherished place.

There are no words that could express how thankful we are,
You're a blessing in our life, you're our brightest star.
So thank you so much, thank you for always being there,
God has blessed us in so many ways, and forever we care.
