Train from Inverness

by Larry Chamberlin   Dec 24, 2011

See the highland sheep graze in the fields
scattering when the engineer
pulls the horn in a long, mournful bleat
calling out to the heather - C a t h e r i n e!

You can lose your gaze in the fogged moor
sloping up the hills, and almost catch sight
of that tragic lover Heathcliff in his search,
crying along with the train - C a t h e r i n e!

This piece is short, yet descriptive and creative. I think this piece was well written, but something is different about this one... I don't know maybe its just me imagining things.

The word choice was simple yet neat, the descriptions were interesting, and the style was great.
