Minutes Loss

by Michael   Dec 28, 2011

I am now at a milestone in my life.
I've lived 29, 979, 079.7 minutes most of which I can't remember.
I've allowed many minutes to slip by without a whimper.
Those are the minutes that I wish I could have back.

What would we do differently?
Would we tell someone that we loved them?
Would we reach out a helping hand to those in need?
Or would we just allow those minutes to pass?

I am saddened by the minutes that have passed,
I am saddened by mouths I could have fed if I was only a bit less selfish,
I am saddened by narrowness of our minds.
I am saddened by my lack of respect for time.
