You Made Me

You were the perfect hero and no one could compare,
Every time I needed you, you were always there.
The moments that you spent, showing that you cared,
I took your hope along with me everyday, everywhere.

You always found a way to help me fight my fears,
You told me I was strong and wiped away my tears.
No one could ever be there for me as much as you,
You made the walls easy for me to break through.

They say things get better, when you said it, it was true,
I was lost before, trust me, I didn't have a clue.
You helped me make reality the picture that I drew,
Everything I wish for, pray for, it's all so very new.

Before it was all for me, now it's all for you,
To make you proud of me there's anything I'd do.
Life was dark and cold, and then there you came,
You did your magic on me and nothing was the same.

The tears in my eyes dried, my scars lightened,
The sky cleared out and the stars brightened.
You showed me a part of life that was worth living,
