Apology To The World

If I could write a apology letter
to the world, to my family and friends.

It would be short, sweet and simple.
I would express my love
and plain as day write out "I'm sorry".

Although, to be honest
I don't want to be me anymore.

So first of all, I would say hello.
I would ask, "How are you doing today?"
Because in the past I always
left out that kind gesture.

I would go on describing what I've done
and how I have betrayed you all.

I'd simply show you the pain in my eyes,
that I have been hiding behind this deceiving smile.

I would take off my suit of armor
and show you all how truly scared I am of life.

I will shed a tear, just because it's been awhile.

I'll tell the world, that I'm afraid
and what I am afraid of.

I'm afraid of death, I'm afraid of losing
the ones I love more than anything.
I'm afraid of the dark, and being alone.
I'm afraid of forgetting all my memories.

I'm simply afraid.

Since now, I have explained myself
and told you all the honest truth.

The words I have never spoken, I have spoke.
I have showed you all my weakness.

So from that I'll say "I'm sorry",
and that still wouldn't be enough.

    I think we all have that 'suit of armor'. But it's okay to be scared 'cause sometimes this life's just plain cruel.

    A sad poem written with a talented pen. It created thoughts and fears within the reader along with hope. I believe it had it all .

    Because in the past I always

    ^ Thats so sad. Often times we get so caught up in our lives we forget to ask others about theirs.

    I would take off my suit of armor
    and show you all how truly scared I am of life.

    ^ life is scary! But we are in charge of our own actions and life is what we make of it, I'm sure others are scared too and the best thing about telling people your feelings is they can help you through your fears.

    I liked this poem. I bet it felt good to vent. Its a reminder to the readers that we all make mistakes and that happens often! Don't let it get you down, an apology is always the best way to start to get over it.
