Don't let me let you go

Don't let me let you go,
My feelings are true, this I know.
But here I am pushing you away
When all I want to do is stay.
There's so much love for you in my heart
So why must I try to tear us apart?
If I give in to my silly fears,
I'll hurt us both and shed real tears.
But things don't have to be this way
Just hold me close, ask me to stay.
I'm scared to let my feelings show
But please.. don't let me let you go.
