A Painful Crack

by fakingeverything   Jan 13, 2012

A painful crack in this face of stone,
Holding in the pain is all she's ever known.
So she forces a smile to get her through the day
So nobody asks the questions like "are you really ok?"
But once she sets foot in the emptiness of her home,
She feels so depressed, she feels so alone.
Then she begins to cry, not one or two tears,
But a thousand little droplets she's held onto for years.
Finally she reached her breaking point, where nothing really mattered
The only thing she cared for was winning the battle
Of life versus death, but the decision has been made,
As she reaches in her dresser and searches for the blade.
Will this be the night where the smell of death will fill the air?
And the cries of tragedy will bring out the care.
No, this is the night another scar is placed on her wrist,
But don't turn away, for this story has a twist.
Tomorrow night will be the night of her hideous demise,
Thats when you'll hear the oh so tragic cries.
