A quest enticed by a lingering test of fate
Hoping that this chance had not come too Late
Failure seemingly becoming success' best mate
Fear and jealous developing an undescriptive hate

And a moment overly longed for begins in a rush
Trying to hide an unbelievable desperation's blush
Imagination ends and she's no longer my Crush
But, has become my one and only, a royal flush

A touch of inadequacy, a felt emotion, a movie Set
Little miss perfect, I couldn't find any reasons to regret
Quenched thirst for beauty, pleasing her, a walk in the desert

A stroke of genius, all was glimmering fun
Suddenly she came to a decision, but took a long run
She began to beat around bush, strange act of a confusing pun
Bearing witness to the bullets of pain in her gun

First she sought comfort in the tone of my voice
Before letting it all out and leaving me with no choice
She wanted us to stay friends, I found no rejoice

"I thought we were going to walk the world as one"
But she said "this was all said and lost under the sun"...
