Who do you see?

by Alyx   Jan 17, 2012

Is it me you really see?
Or all the lies I make you believe?
Each day a new mask
And a few sips from the flask.
A new pill for a new person.
The soul drowns in a drugged submersion.
What more can I lose
In this pathetic excuse
Of my life, Can't you see?
The lies that cover the real me?
In plain sight I hide
That real girl inside.
Not that fake grinning girl,
She makes me want to hurl.
Cram in more pills,
Till the pain fades away.
Enough until the world stills,
Just a moment feels like a day
Still want that lie?
At this point I'd rather die.
Another sip from the flask,
I swear a few more is all I'll ask.
Just enough to lose the frown
Maybe enough to make me drown.
Drugged and drunk,
Another lie to fake being out of that "funk"
So now that I'm done and I'm holding that gun.
Still think you see me?
Or just the lies I made you believe
