Why Do I Write ?

Why do I write ?
A good question indeed
Why do I write ?
Is it some passion which ignites sometimes ?
Or is it some inborn quality of mine ?

Why do I write ?
Maybe because of the happiness inside me which needs to be shared,
Maybe because of some deep wounds which need to be cared,

Why do I write ?
Just to pen down my frustrations in style ?
Or just to remember my thoughts and dreams for a while ?

Why do I write ?
To make people say that I am a good writer ?
To make everyone realize that in life I am a fighter ?

But the real reason is something else
I write what I really feel
It does not matter whether it deepens my wounds or make them heal
When I write it comes from within my heart
It oozes truth in its every part

To make others realize that I am human too, I write
To let others know that I too need love, I write
To be truthful to myself, I write
Because I own my world and it is my fight ! ! !
