Restless

by my blue eyes cry   Jan 18, 2012

Ever been so tired but your eyes wont let you sleep,
no matter how tight you close them they never seem to dream.

So restless hours pass you by,
tossing and turning you watch the sun reach the night sky.

Awake you arise from the bed that you lay,
these dark purple bags have come to stay.

Haunting your mind that never seems to rest,
you have so much you need to confess.

But for today you will cover the marks,
with a fake smile that warms their hearts

And when night comes you will lay in your bed,
restless for hours as thoughts circle your head.

Consuming your soul that feels so dead,
Good morning world, here comes the sun again..
