Agony

by XxxWordsOfWisdomxxX   Jan 21, 2012

She was pushed
She fell
She broke

She woke up alone

No hand to help pick her back up
No railing to get her on her feet again

Nothing

Only a dark empty space that she knew better than anyone

It was cold where she hid

Behind a heart that once burned like fire

Now, her prescence brought a chill to those near

She no longer welcomed strangers
She felt no trust
No love

She was alone

Everyday and everynight

The pain eventually faded into nothing

A deep numbing

Eyes opened wide
Yet still dreaming
Not wanting to see the world

Refusing to accept the voices of others

They took it as ignorance

But it was agony

Agony, buried her voice
Her warmth
Her love and trust

She could stand it no longer

Dark waters, called her name on the shore, they say

And without a second thought, she let the waves sweep her away
