It's Just A Brand New Me

by Freeze Tyler   Jan 22, 2012

I grab my little black book,
And a new outlook;
A new life of mine
A rook in the world of pawns,
A hook in a world of hands
Begging to be fed.
I try to climb
To pass by the tears
In the eyes
Of suicidal times over the years,
With the reflection of steel
Plastered in the Retina;
I know I'll regret the
Arrogant answers;
I'm making promises
I just can't cash yet.
But no sweat, Love,
Once day I'll make bank;
I grab my little black book,
And a new outlook...
I take a look back at my life,
And think "At least I'm not a crook.",
Its just a brand new me.
