Lady Lake

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Feb 3, 2012

30th March, 2011.

She dwells below the creek
Accentuates prestige emporium
Rummages every creature
To possess her demeanor

With a dainty poised mien
Her spicy nobility flaunts
A blooming goddess
In the swelling tide

The shore as her patio
Decked with variant shells
Like a porcelain ware
Glowing in the brazen sunlight

She surfs the creek
Like the sublime mermaid
In her deific Arcadia
A realm of Utopian empire

Treads the earth regally
Her trails etched on the coast
For natives to worship
On her marine alters

Show me the way to novelty
Lady of the puddle banks
Grace me with your prodigy
And i'll perch on your terrain

Enshrine your mortality on her
Bow to her peerless persona
Dine on her ethereal parlor and
Live to tell her folklore

I love this one! It's a nice poem where you've managed to express the beauty of the beach and the waters, contradicting features in one (the lady's sweet looks and her powerful personality) and it shows the humility of mankind when looking at such a scene and wanting to be involved in it. Beautifully written with a lovely flow. :)
