My Heart is Not

by Merci Perpe   Feb 6, 2012

My heart is not a puzzle,
Taken apart and rearranged.
I will not let you continue,
To do so  I would be deranged.

My heart is not a toy set,
To amuse and be abused.
No, I cant keep on like this,
Not while it is so bruised.

My heart is not an experiment,
Not your biology project.
I won't be your living test,
But compassion I can't detect.

My heart is my humanity,
Giving care to everyone.
But you obviously wouldn't know,
It's clear that you don't have one.

I like how you set your poems up for the last line, like a comedian does on the stage leave with good last word. its a good style 5/5
