Declaring Defeat

I stare and ponder
upon your face,
through your aura

I see you
shrouded in darkness

Your light has dimmed,
your life force sucked
and drained from your soul

Your heart is blind,
full of passion an
desires

So full of pain and hurt

Lost and don't know
where to go.
Confused...
don't know which way to turn

Lies and deciet,
encouraging you to fall,
crumble to your feet

I see you reaching out,
so I pray and hope
your light is revived

I pray and hope
that you will be set free
into a joyous glee

There's so much more to life
than you can see

    This poem is so sad but there is that sweetness to it especially since you obviously care for this friend of yours.

    She may be going through a lot but it's lovely that she has a friend like you. I hope she reads this
